the drawing is awesome! my only thought is with the color. you've got the hideous goth chick ID'd totally right, but i think the clothing colors need to be darker, be it deeper purple and red or straight black...and if you go with a brighter color i say go for a really full value of whatever hue you choose! i see so many nasty girls in black with neon pink hair and the like. if they're hot then it's awesome! but that's a horse of a different color...heh. i think that might make her look more gothy [maybe i'm assuimg too much?] but i think the periwinkle blue hair lends itself more to old lady hair. actually hair alone might ramp it up!

I am really happy that a couple of you guys acually critqued the work! I thought when artists blogs started that one of the best things about it was that you could get all this input from other artists and better yourself. So I encourage whoever comes around these parts to be brutally honest... That doesn't mean be a prick, but I would appreciate any opinions, and criticism that anyone may have.
By the way Smo, I tried messing with a lot of different colors especially for that Goth chick. Unfortunately I am not a colorist and in my opinion I don't have a great sense of color, but I ve been working at it real hard lately. For some reason darker colors for the girl, especially with her hair,didn't seem to work correctly. This could ve been that I was using the wrong colors or that my eyes have failed me, thus leaving my slight colorblindness victorious once again. Thanks

and i especially love how you handled the guy's face, really nice.
I friend of mine from New Jersey told me of this family from Connecticut where the overweight mother had no choice but to marry a semi-retarded pizza-delivering guy. Relatively recently, the mother lost weight and became attractive to other guys.....
Anyway, great character designs. Do you do freelance? What kind of work do they have in New York?
